The role of personas is to make your team empathize with the target audience and help them understand the real person behind the demographic data.

That is why personas dig deep. On top of covering your prospects' day-to-day tasks and how your product or service helps, they contain descriptions of emotional attitudes. They describe potential doubts that leads may have and your prospects' whys - their ambitions and motivations.

They help your marketing team step into the audience's shoes so that they can easily create relevant, high-converting content.

With a persona survey, you want to find out:

What pain points and jobs related to your product the (prospective) customers have
What language they use to describe the pain points and jobs
What motivates them and what doubts they may have about your offer

What are your pet peeves connected with the task?

Why use a persona survey? Can't I base the personas solely on my intuition?

Protopersonas - personas created based on what you assume you know - is a provisional solution. It's OK to create one until you verify the assumptions about the target group you've made. To truly rely on your personas, you need to back them up with research.

2. Sign up.
