It's very simple:
1. Sign up for a free Survicate account.
Click the "Send this survey for free" button to be taken to the sign-up area. Sign up using your business email. Signing up is free, and there are no strings attached. We don't ask for credit card details. If you decide you need more functionalities, you can always choose a paid plan.
When you sign up, the system will take you directly to the guest satisfaction survey template.
2. Edit and customize the survey to your needs.
If needed - change the tone of the survey questions to be suitable for your audience. Add or delete questions and make them relevant to a given respondent by applying skip-logic. (Thanks to this feature, respondents are asked questions based on their previous answers.)
Also, change the survey background and colors to make it more on-brand. Ad your hotel's logo if you want to spice things up a notch. (This is a paid feature, though.
3. Connect 3rd-party tools.
When you have all the questions polished, decide which survey distribution channel you will use.
You're most likely are going to email the survey.
To do so, connect the survey platform with your hotel's CRM (if you're going to use the CRM to trigger emails) or a marketing automation tool of choice. Survicate integrates with market-leading 3rd party tools, so you can connect the platforms without any coding skills. (If you cannot see the tools your hotel uses among Survicate's integrations, contact us!)
4. Send the survey and analyze the results.
Once you've finished setting up the survey, send it and start analyzing the results. Survicate enables you to access survey responses while a survey is still running. To check them, go to the tool's panel, where you'll find all the survey's statistics, as well as the response breakdown and a word cloud - the most frequent phrases respondents used. The latter will help you draw conclusions from the surveys. The key phrases in the world cloud are the noteworthy aspects of the service. They are either the things your guests praise you for or the ones you need to work on.
No matter the feedback, remember to close the feedback loop. Your guests have taken the time to answer the questions. Use your marketing automation platform to send them a follow-up message. Thank them for the positive feedback and encourage them to leave positive reviews on your website or internet fora. Ask the unimpressed for improvement suggestions, and address the disappointment of the guests who were not happy with their stays. You can still turn dissatisfied customers into your promoters.
Sending a hotel customer satisfaction survey is a great initiative. Congratulations on the idea!
